Visual Field Guidelines

• The comfortable line of sight is 15° below the horizontal plane (A in Vertical Visual Field Figure below).

• Eye movement up and down is allowable 40° above and below the normal line of sight (C). 

• Eye movement to the right and left is allowable 35° on either side of the normal line of sight (E in Horizontal Visual Field Figure ) below).

• The optimum viewing area is 15° above, below, and to either side of the normal line of sight (B and D).
