Access the Checklist | “Last Things First” You probably have heard the expression, “First things first!” Well in this case think, “Last things first!” In other words, go to the conclusion of the design process to define as precisely as possible what the end result is to be. For example: A particular product to be manufactured and assembled. A warehouse racking system to store and handle parts. A particular tool to accomplish a specific task.
You get the idea! And while it seems this is an obvious first step, please take the time and effort to accomplish it. Past experience tells us that the whole process will go much more smoothly. When you have a clear picture of what you want to accomplish, then it becomes a matter of going to the beginning to determine what steps are needed to get to the end. |
